Description

Junior Green Thumbs | Children's Program | Ages: 5-11

5-Week Session, $60

July 7 - August 4

Fridays | 12:30-2:00 PM

Jr. Green Thumbs is designed to introduce kids to the fascinating world of plants and gardening through fun discussions and demonstrations, activities with plants, and arts and crafts.

Each week, we will engage the five senses with a variety of activities, including a weekly visit to our cut flower and veggie fields to tend to the plants and do some picking. Let your kids learn how to have a green thumb, enjoy a bit of life on a farm, and most importantly--get their hands dirty!

Class Themes:

July 7 - Seeds

July 14 - Pollinators

July 21 - Veggies

July 28 - Flowers

August 4 - Trees

Class Information:

  • Classes are one and a half hours long each. Parents/guardians are required to stay on-site, as this is not a drop off class. Parents/guardians are welcome to stroll around the greenhouse while class is in session or you may join us to watch or participate.
  • Please dress your children for the outdoors in "play" clothes in shoes that are okay to get dirty. Please wear closed-toe shoes only and no sandals.
  • Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, and rain gear if needed. If it's raining, we will still be going for a walk to the fields.
  • Jr. Green Thumbs is a 5-week package, and no refunds or make ups are available for missed classes.

Once your payment is submitted, we will send you a form to complete your registration.
