Betula 'Royal Frost' is deciduous tree commonly known as Birch. An incredible accent tree for the home landscape with rich burgundy-red to purple foliage all season long and beautiful white exfoliating bark; upright pyramidal habit of growth. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant.
This tree does best in full sun to partial shade and cold hardiness zones 3 - 6. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. Consider applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder microclimates. It has no significant negative characteristics.
