Description

Commonly known as Butterfly Weed, its vibrant-orange flowers are a magnet for butterflies and attractive seed pods are used in floral arrangements. The leaves are an important food source for Monarch butterfly caterpillars. Prefers drier, well-drained soil. May take 2-3 years to produce flowers and typically blooms in summer.

The butterfly weed tolerates full sun and is deer resistant. This plant does best in Cold Hardiness Zones 3 - 9.
