Acer palmatum 'Butterfly'



Description

Japanese Maple is the common name for acer palmatum. 'Butterfly' is an upright, shrubby form of the Japanese maple with variegated foliage. The leaves are green, but in the fall may change to shades of yellow, red-purple and bronze.

This tree is native to Japan, Korea and China; tolerates full sun to part shade, and does best in Cold Hardiness Zones 5 - 8.
